Community impact alongside fibre connectivity

On Friday, 22 August 2025, we had the privilege of joining the Diepsloot Clean-Up and Recycling Awareness Campaign, organised by the Green Hope Foundation SA.

The day was action packed, from cleaning up litter and collecting recyclables, to planting trees and supporting sanitary pads drive for young women in the community. It was inspiring to see residents, volunteers, and local organisations come together with one goal: to make Diepsloot a cleaner, healthier place.

Why we got involved

At PluxNet, we’ve always believed that being an ISP means more than just connecting people to fast fibre. True connection also means being part of the communities we serve. Joining the Diepsloot campaign was our way of showing that we’re here to support growth, not just through technology, but through real, on-the-ground impact.

What stood out for us

Walking through the neighbourhood with volunteers, filling bags with waste, and seeing young and old working side by side reminded us how powerful community spirit can be. Small actions, when multiplied, create real change.

We also loved the educational side of the campaign such as conversations about recycling, sustainability, and how every household can play a part in protecting the environment.

Looking forward

This is just the start. We’re committed to supporting more initiatives like this, because we know that a connected community is a strong community. Fibre internet brings opportunities to connect but so does a safe, clean, and sustainable environment. We

are all about our communities and will never hesitate to take part in community enriching activities.

We’d like to thank Green Hope Foundation SA for leading this important work and for inviting us to be part of it.

Together, we’re building more than networks. We’re building communities, For Us, By Us.
